organic mushroom share from two river gourmet mushrooms

Dutch Kills CSA is excited to work with Two River Gourmet Mushrooms for our mushroom shares this year. Our new farm is a small-scale grower located in historic Millstone, New Jersey, about 70 miles southwest of us. Two River Mushrooms was founded by K.C. Sullivan 10 years ago. Today K.C. works with a team of specialists to grow and market more than a dozen varieties of certified organic specialty mushrooms. Two River Mushrooms comes highly recommended by several CSAs in Brooklyn.

Here’s how the share is structured:

• Pickup is every other week at our regular distribution, for a total of 12 pickups.

• The Mushroom Share begins on Week 1 (June 11) and continues on alternate weeks until the next-to-last pickup on November 12.

• Each 1 pound share will be a medley of 6 or 7 kinds of mushrooms packed in a wooden basket.

• Varieties in the Forest Medley include: Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Golden Oyster, Chestnut, Pioppino, King Trumpet, and Maitake.
